Welcome to Truth Shirt. We sell edgy, controversial t-shirts that say what others won’t. By accessing or using our website https://truthshirt.io (the “Site”), placing an order, or using our services (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you don’t agree, don’t use the Site or buy our stuff.

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted here with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Check back occasionally.

1. Who We Are & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and legally capable of entering contracts to use the Service. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Our Products & Orders

All products are made to order (print-on-demand style). We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including errors in pricing, availability, suspected fraud, or if we believe the order violates these Terms or applicable law.

Placing an order is an offer to buy; we accept when we confirm shipment. All sales are final except as outlined in our Returns Policy below.

Prices are in USD and exclude taxes, shipping, and duties (which you’ll pay). We may change prices without notice. Errors in pricing/product info don’t obligate us to sell at the incorrect price.

We ask “What do you identify as?” on the homepage for sizing/fit humor — your answer doesn’t create any legal rights or obligations beyond standard product selection.

3. Payment

Payments are processed securely by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We don’t store full card details. You agree to their terms too.

You authorize us (or our processor) to charge the selected payment method for the order total, including taxes and shipping. If payment fails, we may cancel the order.

4. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping times and costs are estimates only — we aren’t liable for delays, lost packages, or customs issues. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon handover to the carrier.

Check your order confirmation for estimated delivery. International orders may incur duties/taxes — that’s on you.

5. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

Because our shirts are custom-printed with provocative designs, returns are limited. We accept returns only for:

  • Manufacturing defects (e.g., printing errors, wrong item/size)
  • Within 30 days of delivery
  • Item unworn/unwashed with tags attached

No returns for change of mind, buyer’s remorse, or because someone got offended — you knew the tagline: “Buy them before they are Banned.”

To request a return: email support@truthshirt.io with order number and photos within 30 days. If approved, we’ll provide instructions. Refunds (excluding original shipping) issued to original payment method within 10 business days of receipt.

Cancellations: Possible only before printing begins (usually within hours of order). Contact us immediately — no guarantees.

All sales final otherwise. No refunds for banned/censored designs post-purchase.

6. Intellectual Property

Our designs, logos, taglines (“Buy them before they are Banned”), product photos, and Site content are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You get a limited, non-transferable license to wear the shirt — not to reproduce, sell, distribute, or commercially exploit our designs. No ripping off our artwork for your own merch, tattoos, or memes without written permission.

If you upload custom text/designs (if we ever offer it), you warrant you own the rights and grant us a license to print/use it. You indemnify us for any IP claims arising from your uploads.

We take IP seriously — infringement reports go straight to legal.

7. User Conduct

Use the Site lawfully. Don’t:

  • Harass, threaten, or impersonate others
  • Post illegal/offensive content (ironic, we know)
  • Attempt to hack, scrape, or overload the Site
  • Use for commercial resale without permission

We may terminate access for any reason.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service and products are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind — express, implied, statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We don’t warrant that shirts will never get you canceled, that designs won’t be banned someday, or that the Site will be error-free/secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we (and our officers, directors, employees, suppliers) are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, data, goodwill) arising from or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product(s) in question.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow exclusions — they apply only to the extent permitted.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your infringement of third-party rights
  • Any dispute related to your order or shirt

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. You consent to jurisdiction and venue there.

No class actions — disputes are individual only.

11. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms (plus Privacy Policy) are the full deal.
  • Severability: Invalid provisions don’t kill the rest.
  • No waiver: Our failure to enforce isn’t a waiver.
  • Assignment: We may assign these Terms; you may not.
  • Force majeure: We’re not liable for delays due to events beyond control (strikes, bans, pandemics, etc.).
